Clean Room man lifts are designed for environments that require minimal
particulate emissions such as the aerospace, computer and film processing
industries. These industries have controlled environments and require
specific "non-emitting" features for any equipment operated in the
Clean-Room. The following are several standards that specify
requirements for Clean Rooms:
-
Federal Standard 209
-
ISO 14644
-
NSF No/ 49
-
IES Standards
Clean Room ratings are based on concentration limits (Particles per cubic
meter). typical ratings are 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 and 100,000
with the larger the number resulting in more particles or "dirtier air". |

MLE was recently contacted by a prominent
Aerospace company that develops space and satellite systems.
The problem was their existing Diesel Powered
Genie Lift which emitted diesel exhaust was a problem for their intricate
Aerospace components. The Engine was removed and replaced with a 48v DC
Electric motor. All the controls operate exactly as original. A large 650
Amp-hour battery was also installed to provide extended operation.
This is a typical "Electric Package" that we
provide for modifying existing combustion engine powered lifts for Clean
room applications
